WORKS AS PROOF OF FAITH

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance – Acts 26:20

The Apostle Paul preached the same Gospel as the Lord Jesus Christ. He warned the Gentiles about the Coming Wrath and told them to repent of their sins and to do works in keeping with Repentance afterwards.

If the Apostle Paul had to preach the same Gospel today, the Church would question his theology. They’d accuse him of preaching works-based Christianity. They’d tell him we don’t have to do anything after believing because Jesus did everything for us already. That’s because they’ve based their doctrine on Paul without understanding him.

They think he disagreed with Apostles like James. Paul’s Message demanded and still demands that after believing, there must be Works. Like James, he believed that Faith without Works is dead. His Message demanded and still demands that we do Works in keeping with Repentance as evidence of our Faith or we’ll burn in Hell. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

Like the Apostle Paul, I agree with the Lord Jesus Christ. I agree that I need to perform Works in keeping with Repentance, because Faith without Works is dead. Glory to God!
