TAKE UP YOUR CROSS DAILY
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple – Luke 14:27
The reason for all the false prophets and false doctrines in the Church today is because we’ve taken the Cross out of our message. As a result, we’re producing false Christians instead of true Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s our fake gospel that’s failing to transform people into Christ. It’s failing to renew their minds. It’s only when we deny ourselves and crucify the habits of the old man that the New Creation in us will be revealed. It’s the only way Christ in us can be revealed.
No amount of quoting Greek and Hebrew, confession, or speaking in tongues will transform us. If it could, it would have already. There’s no substitute for sacrificing our passions and lusts on our cross by the Spirit daily. There’s no substitute for denying ourselves, taking up our cross daily and following the Lord Jesus Christ.
CONFESSION
I’m a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. Everyday, I deaden the misdeeds of the flesh by the Spirit. Everyday, I deny myself, take up my cross and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
