RESURRECTION SUNDAY

By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death – Hebrews 11:17,19

The Faith of Abraham requires our careful study. Other than the Lord Jesus Christ, he’s an Example of Faith that must be followed. God spoke a Promise to him, in other words, the Lord gave Him a Word of Faith. Hebrews 11:18 says, ‘Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called.’ Abraham knew that God would bring forth the Promise of the Seed of Abraham, which is the Lord Jesus Christ, through Isaac.

However, the Lord gave Abraham another Word of Faith which Abraham had to obey. He commanded him to offer Isaac as a Sacrifice and he put his son on the Altar. Had Abraham not obeyed God in his regard, the Promise of the Lord Jesus Christ would not have come. Genesis 21:15-17 says, ‘The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, …because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky…’

Faith without Works is dead. Faith does not just believe but it also obeys. It acts on the Word of God, and when it does, a Miracle always occurs. Even though Abraham didn’t physically sacrifice his son, in the realm of the Spirit he did. As a result, God raised Isaac from the dead figuratively. The Power of the Lord’s Resurrection was released and Isaac lived and through him Abraham’s Seed was called. So don’t just believe the Word of Faith, don’t just confess the Word of Faith, act on it. Like Abraham, obey it and see the Power of God be released in your life. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I don’t just believe the Word of Faith. I don’t just confess the Word of Faith. I obey the Word of Faith. I act on it and the Power that raised the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead is released in my life. Glory to God!
