THE VINE AND HIS BRANCHES

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me…for without me you can do nothing – John 15:4-5b

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Vine and we’re His Branches. Without Him we can do nothing. We therefore bear Good Fruit or do Good Works, not in our own strength but by His Grace.

Without doing these Good Works, we won’t be saved in the end. John 15:6 says, ‘If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.’

Believers who don’t bear Good Fruit, will be thrown in the Lake of Fire but those who do Good Works shall be saved. That’s not Salvation by human effort but rather Grace through Faith because without Him, we can do nothing.

CONFESSION

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Vine and I am His Branch. I abide in Him and He abides in me. That’s why I bring forth Good Fruit so that I’m not cut off and burned but remain in Him and be saved. Glory to God!
