THE SON OF GOD RETURNING FOR THE SONS OF GOD

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure – 1 John 3:2-3

Beloved, now are we the Sons of God! That’s our Identity right now. However, the Process is not complete yet. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back. Even though we’re like Him in our Spirits, when He returns, we will be like Him physically as well. Our current natural and mortal bodies will be transformed to be like His eternal and spiritual Body.

This will happen when the Hope of the Resurrection is finally consummated. Those who have this Hope in Him, purify themselves just as He is pure. That’s why you and I can’t be complacent and yield to the Temptations of this world. We have to deny ourselves, and take up our Cross daily and follow the Example of the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s why we have to put our bodies under, otherwise we’ll be disqualified for the Prize.

Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked. If we sow to the flesh by living a sinful life, we’ll reap destruction in the Lake of Fire. But if we sow to the Spirit and live a Life of Holines and Obedience to the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ, we’ll reap Eternal Life. If we purify ourselves in this world as He is pure, we’ll rule and reign with Him in the World to Come when He returns. It’s time to repent, for our Salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

CONFESSION

Beloved, now are we the Sons of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Glory to God!
