THE REWARD OF ETERNAL LIFE
Let us not become weary in doing good.
To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life – Romans 2:7
Eternal Life is not only an Inheritance but also a Reward. When we come to Christ, we receive Eternal Life as a free Gift. However, when the Lord returns, He’ll reward us with Eternal Life, if we are persistent in doing Good Works in keeping with Repentance throughout our lives. If we seek Eternal Life in the World to Come, which will come with Glory, Honour, and Immortality, it’ll be granted us.
But it takes persistence in doing Good Works in keeping with Repentance in this world. That means we can lose Eternal Life if we’re not persistent in doing Good Works. Galatians 6:7-8 says, ‘Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’
If we sow to the flesh, we’ll reap death in the Lake of Fire. But if we sow to the Spirit, we’ll reap Eternal Life in the World to Come. However, we should not be weary in doing Good Works in keeping with Repentance, for at the proper time, when the Lord returns, we’ll reap a Harvest of Eternal Life, if we don’t give up. That’s why no matter the Trials, you should endure until the end. That’s why no matter the Tribulation, you should fight the Good Fight of Faith and lay hold on Eternal Life and not give up. The Lord is near. Our Redemption is drawing nigh. Our Salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
PRAYER
Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that I may be persistent in doing Good Works in keeping with Repentance so that You may reward me with Eternal Life in the end. Amen.
