RESURRECTION SUNDAY

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live – John 11:25

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Eternal Life. By sharing in His Resurrection from the dead, we share in His Life. By being raised up together with Him, we have received Eternal Life. We have received the very Life of Christ. Colossians 3:4 says, ‘When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.’ When you receive the Lord Jesus Christ, you receive Eternal Life because the Lord Jesus Christ is Eternal Life. He is our Eternal Life.

There’s human life. In Greek it’s called psuche. There’s also the Divine Life. In Greek it’s called Zoe. 1 Corinthians 15:45 says, ‘And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.’ Psuche is the natural human life that Adam had in the garden of Eden, but Zoe is the Life the Lord Jesus Christ has brought to us. Adam was created as a living soul, but the Lord Jesus Christ was born an Eternal-Life-giving Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ is a different Species of Man to Adam in the Garden.

1 Corinthians 15:47-48 says, ‘The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.’ There are two different types of Beings living inside a human body: those who are earthy and those who are heavenly. There are those who are born after the likeness of Adam and those who are born after the likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ has made us Divine Beings. It has made us as much the Sons of God as the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. We’re more than God’s Creatures, we’re His very Offspring. Just how great is this Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ!

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for the indescribable Gift of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
