THE IMAGE OF HIS SON

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren – Romans 8:29

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Father’s Firstborn. All other sons of God were born to be conformed to the Image of the Firstborn Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the Father’s Dream for you and I. It’s to mature us and bring us into the fulness of Christ.

Luke 6:40 says, ‘The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.’ Discipleship is the Father’s chosen process of maturing the sons of God and conforming them to the Image of the Pattern Son.

To be a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ is to follow His Doctrine. The Doctrine of Christ is the only teaching that can renew our minds and bring us to manhood in the Spirit. By obeying the Doctrine of Christ we come to the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, and the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that you conform me to the Image of Your Son. I pray that I may come to full maturity and attain to the full measure of the stature of the fulness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
