THE FEAR OF THE LORD
God is a judge and His judgment will begin with the Church
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come – Revelation 14:7
False grace teachers claim that Christians will never face God’s judgment because the Lord Jesus Christ has already been judged for their sin. As a result, there’s no longer any consequence for the sin of a Christian.
And yet, Hebrews 10:30 says, ‘And again, The Lord shall judge his people.’ 1 Peter 4:17 says, ‘For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.’ With regards to preachers James 3:1 says, ‘Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.’
God is a judge and His judgment will begin with the Church, He’ll judge His people, and ministers will be judged harsher than everyone. We’re currently in the season of the God’s judgment. Those who don’t fear Him will. It’s time to repent.
PRAYER
Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for a revelation of the fear of the Lord. Help me to repent of my sin so that I won’t have to face your judgment. Amen.
