THE FALLING AWAY IS HERE
The Lord Jesus Christ will only appear after there has been a falling away first
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition – 2 Thessalonians 2:3
Many believe the Lord Jesus Christ will appear soon or at any time now and rapture the church. However, that’s not what the scriptures teach. The Lord Jesus Christ will only appear after there has been a falling away first and then the antichrist is revealed afterwards, in that order. The next big event is not the return of the Lord Jesus Christ but rather the falling away of many in the church, which has already started.
2 Timothy 4:3 says, ‘For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.’ The falling away is and will be inspired by Christians not being able to endure sound doctrine or the Doctrine of Christ. They’ll reject it because it confronts their lusts, but instead, they’ll find teachers who’ll deceive them and make them feel comfortable and secure in their sin.
We’re in the midst of the falling away of the church right now. Many Christians have turned away their ears from the truth and have embraced fables and old wives’ tales. When the coming persecution intensifies, they won’t be able to stand because they hate the discomfort of the Doctrine of Christ and prefer feel-good motivational sermons. The doctrines of demons and doctrines of men that they love so much will fail them because they won’t prepare them for the coming intense persecution. It’s time to be like the wise man who built his house on the rock. It’s time to hear the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ and do them. It’s time to turn to the truth of the Doctrine of Christ.
PRAYER
Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for the grace not to fall away in this season. Help me to be wise and build my life of the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
