SONSHIP

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name – John 1:12

The Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, came to make us the sons of God. In other words, He came to make us like Him. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Pattern Son, He’s the original we are meant to copy. He’s the Example we have to follow.

Even though we were born the sons of God, we must be taught Sonship. We have to unlearn the doctrines of demons we learned while we were still in the world. For us to be like Christ, our minds have to be renewed by being taught the Doctrine of Christ.

The sons of God must learn Sonship by following the Doctrine of the Son of God. Discipleship is God’s chosen method of maturing the sons of God. Only with the Lord as our Teacher, us as His Disciples and the Doctrine of Christ as the curriculum, can the sons of God be conformed into the Image of the Pattern Son.

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, help me to unlearn the doctrines of demons I learned while I was still in the world. Teach me Sonship through the Doctrine of Christ that I might be conformed into the Image of Your Son. Amen.
