PREPARE FOR PERSECUTION! PREPARE FOR PERSECUTION!

Glory to God! I trust you’re well and denying yourself, taking up your cross daily and following the Lord Jesus Christ.

About two weeks ago, I heard something while I was half asleep and half awake. I was somewhere between being fully asleep and being fully awake.

BEGINNING

I heard someone coughing violently. It felt like the cough was coming from somewhere outside my house. In fact, it sounded like it was coming from one of the neighbours’ houses. The cough was followed by another and yet another. Soon it was a chorus of violent coughs, a number of people or neighbours coughing violently. The more they coughed, the more it felt like the people coughing were coming closer to me or were even inside my house.

I then felt something go up my nose and fill my lungs. It smelled like either teargas or pepper spray or both. I then suddenly knew the reason behind everyone coughing that much. I then heard a young lady crying uncontrollably. In fact, she was wailing helplessly and suffering intensely because of the teargas/pepper spray. I then woke up and became fully alert.

Houses represent both personal homes and also the house of God. Neighbours in this case represent both my Christian neighbours and other churches.

The Lord has already warned us about the coming persecution. I believe we’re about to see church services be interrupted by police officers. We’re about to see police officers invade church services and disperse worshipers with teargas and or pepper spray.

I don’t know if this will happen this Easter weekend or not. I know there are ministers of the gospel who have made the decision to flout whatever government edict and open their churches at 100% capacity.

Persecution is coming. I believe we’re in for serious persecution from government. We’re likely to see COVID-19 cases surge after Easter and government will most likely react by imposing further restrictions of church gatherings.

Hearing the lady scream as she did can only mean that the suffering will be intense. I also inhaled the teargas and or pepper spray, which could mean that I’ll also be persecuted. We’re also likely to see ministers of the gospel be targeted personally in their homes. That means the coming persecution won’t just be in houses of worship but it’ll be extended to our homes as well.

Romans 8:35-39 says, ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
