PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN CONTINUALLY

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually – Job 1:5

Job prayed for his children and interceded for them continually. As a concerned parent, he brought them before the Lord in Prayer and repented on their behalf in case they sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. We should do the same for our children because many of them are spiritually weaker than us.

There are demons that are dedicated to destroying children’s lives. As a result, our children face many challenges such as bullying, peer pressure, rejection, image issues, fitting in, etc. In their weakness, our children also sin against God. We should therefore be like Job and pray for our children continually until their Faith is strong enough for them to stand on their own.

From the Scriptures, it’s clear that Job’s children were not young. Therefore, praying for our children goes well into their adult years since spiritual maturity takes time. Even as adults, our children will face challenges that, without another’s Intercession, will crumble. Just because our children live with us and are around us it doesn’t mean they’re protected. We have to actively pray for them continually because they often get up to sinful things away from us that we’re not aware of.

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for Christian children everywhere. Pardon them their sins where they’ve wronged You. Strengthen them where they’re weak. Shield them from danger that their lives may be spared. Amen.
