PEACEFUL HOMES
For there to be Peace in our homes, we must first obey the Doctrine of Christ.
FAMILY FRIDAY
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men – Romans 12:18
God has called us to Peace, however, many Christian homes are war zones. There’s an ongoing power struggle between husband and wife, and parent and child. For there to be Peace in our homes, we must first accept that we’re living in rebellion to God.
For there to be Peace in our homes, we must first obey the Doctrine of Christ. Husbands, love your wives; wives submit to your husbands; fathers, raise your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord; and children, obey and honour parents in the Lord. Those are Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ and we must obey them. It’s for our own good.
Most Christians don’t need counselling, they just need to repent, turn to God and begin to do works meet for repentance in obedience to the Doctrine of Christ. The day we choose to stop making war with God through our disobedience is the day our families will enter into His rest and we’ll have peaceful homes.
PRAYER
Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for Christian families all around the world. Help them to repent, turn towards You and begin to do works meet for repentance for them to experience Peace. Amen.
