Glory to God! I trust you’re well and denying yourself, taking up your cross and following the Lord Jesus Christ.

On 18 July 2021, today, I heard the following:

BEGINNING

I asked God what is going to happen next in South Africa now that the looting and violence have been quelled, and I heard the following:

UNREST. CHAOS. TURMOIL.

The Lord has not told me what the timing of all of this, whether it’s immediate or later on in the future.

END

(I am going to give you my view on this and please bear in mind that I am neither an ANC member nor an ANC voter or even an ANC supporter. I’m therefore not advancing a political narrative. I’m only giving you my opinion on current events)

Even though we’ve been told that the violence and looting of last week are over because of police and military intervention, God is saying otherwise.

We need to understand that if indeed the violence and looting were as a result of the incarceration of former President Jacob Zuma, then this is not about looting and violence.

It means that this is an ANC faction battle manifested as looting and violence. Therefore, as long as differences between the two factions remain, then what happened last week is likely to happen again and again and again.

The Spirit of God has not said this to me, however, I believe it will take an Act of God to resolve this problem, otherwise it can even escalate to civil war.

This is beyond few thousand looters trashing a few malls. This is a factional battle, and there’s a lot at stake. What’s at stake is the direction of the country and whose policies will be implemented.

The one faction believes in Radical Economic Transformation, which means, free education, appropriation of land without compensation, the nationalisation of the South African Reserve Bank, the formation of a state bank, and the the like.

The other faction believes in a New Dawn, which means, liberal markets, the privatisation of State Owned Enterprises, a smaller government, and the like. The former is true ANC policy and some of their resolutions were agreed to at the Nasrec Elective Conference.

What the New Dawn faction is currently implementing are not ANC policies. What the New Dawn faction is currently implementing is not what was agreed to at the Nasrec Elective Conference.

(Once again, please bear in mind that I’m not an ANC member, voter or supporter. I’m simply stating the facts. I’m in no way saying I agree with either faction. I’m simply saying what we’re currently seeing is neither ANC policy nor what was agreed to at the Nasrec Conference.)

The Radical Economic Transformation faction therefore has a leg to stand on based on legitimacy. The ANC is essentially a communist and socialist movement based on the Freedom Charter and a policy document called the National Democratic Revolution. The RET faction bases its current rejection of the New Dawn’s position on legitimacy, legality and long-standing policy positions.

Arresting a few looters will not make any of these tensions go away.

UNREST. CHAOS. TURMOIL.

God said, June. On the 29th of June, former President Zuma handed himself in. What we saw in June was a wall go up, separating one half of the year from another. There wasn’t any of this chaos before June, now suddenly after June, after the wall went up, there’s unrest, not only unrest in South Africa, but many other disturbing events the world over.

The Lord has also told us that former President Zuma will soon be released. Let’s see what happens next.

Glory to God!
