LIVING THE LIFE OF THE WORLD TO COME IN THIS WORLD

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16

The Lord Jesus Christ came so that we should not perish in this world or the World to Come. To achieve that, He has given us Eternal Life. Eternal Life is the Reason the Lord Jesus Christ has come. Eternal Life is the very Life of God. Eternal Life is the Life God Himself and the Lord Jesus Christ live. That’s why Christians shouldn’t be content with human life. The life of sin, sickness, demonization, limitation, and death is the life of this world.

Eternal Life is the Life of the World to Come, and the Lord Jesus Christ has brought it to us in this dimension. He Himself lived Eternal Life in this world to show us how to do it. We can therefore live in this world as if we’re already in the World to Come. That’s how the Lord Jesus Christ lived. He was a mystery to the people of His Day because He was not of this world.

As a Man with the Life of God in Him, He lived like God in this world. He has called us to follow His Example. How can we be like Him if we’re different from Him? Eternal Life gives us the Capacity to function like the Lord Jesus Christ in this world. That’s why the Lord Jesus Christ is my Meditation. I refuse to live an ordinary human life with its corruption and death. Nothing, not even the grave could hold back the Lord Jesus Christ. Why should anything in this world hold you back?

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, open my eyes to the reality of Eternal Life. Help me to live the Life you have given to me through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
