GENERAL ELECTIONS RESULTS UNDER SCRUTINY

More shocking news from this year’s election. Some parties have rejected the authenticity of the results and are prepared to take legal action. They’re even demanding a re-run of the entire election.

Apparently some people voted more than once, the indelible ink we were all marked with is not so indelible after all and some washed it off and voted over and over again, some ballot papers were not stamped at the back, some people got either two national or two provincial ballot papers, etc.

The DA has demanded an audit to determine if the discrepancies are material to the outcome or not. In fact, about 20 people have been arrested for election fraud so far. Such things aren’t supposed to happen in South Africa, we’re supposedly the most sophisticated democracy on the continent.
