GOD’S WRATH AND REPENTANCE
John the Baptist also preached This Gospel of the Kingdom.
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand… who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance – Matthew 3:1-2; 7b-8
John the Baptist also preached This Gospel of the Kingdom. His Message, like the Lord’s, led with Repentance. He demanded that those who repent must produce Fruit in keeping with Repentance because of the Coming Wrath.
That’s why today’s gospel of the kingdom is not This Gospel of the Kingdom. It neither warns against the Coming Wrath nor demands Fruit in keeping with Repentance. As a result, today’s Christian has the same ambitions, desires, dreams and sinful lifestyle as the people of this world.
We need to go back to the true Gospel, otherwise many are in for the shock of their lives on Judgment Day. Many will say, ‘Lord, Lord’ but He’ll say, ‘I never knew you.’ It’s time to repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. It’s time to bear Fruit in keeping with Repentance or be judged with sinners.
CONFESSION
I refuse to believe any gospel other than This Gospel of the Kingdom. The Wrath of God is coming, that’s why I bear Fruit in keeping with Repentance. Glory to God!
