Remember Lot’s wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it – Luke 17:32

There’s a difference between Forgiveness and Repentance. There are many who have asked God to forgive them their sins, but they’ve never really repented of those sins.

They ask for Forgiveness and immediately go back to the same sin they’ve been forgiven of. To repent means to leave your old life of sin and live the new Life of Christ. Lot left Sodom but his wife looked back because she still loved her old life.

That’s how many are today, they keep repeating the same sin even after they’ve been forgiven of it, because they’re still invested in their old life of sin. If you’re like Lot and come out and never go back, you’ll be saved. But if like Lot’s wife you keep looking back, you’ll go back to your old life and die in it.

CONFESSION

I’m not like Lot’s wife who looked back and perished. Like Lot, I’ve left my old life of sin and don’t plan on returning to it because I want to live and not die. Glory to God!
