YOUTH SATURDAY

But the LORD said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak – Jeremiah 1:7

Your Words are very important. When God called Jeremiah the Prophet, the young man started speaking his mind. He started speaking about his age. Then God corrected him and said, ‘Don’t say I am a youth’ in other words, don’t say what I didnt’ say. Then God said, ‘And whatever I command you, you shall speak.’ God was saying to the Prophet, ‘Don’t say what you want to say, say what I say.

God wants us to speak His Word. John 12:49 says, ‘For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.’ The Lord Jesus Christ Himself only spoke what the Father spoke. He only spoke the Word of God. We’re His Disciples and we should follow His Example.

So don’t be like Jeremiah and disqualify yourself by saying you’re young. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, ‘Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.’ Not only should you not disqualify yourself, don’t let anyone disqualify you. Don’t say what others say about you. Don’t call yourself ‘dog’ or ‘female dog’ like your generation does. Don’t call yourself stupid or loser or hopeless. Those words will come to pass in your life. Call yourself what God calls you. Refuse to be defined by anything other than the Word of God. When they called the Lord Jesus Christ a liar, He said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.’ When they said he operates by the powers of darkness, He said, ‘I am the Light of the world.’ So be like the Lord and say about yourself what God says about you. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I refuse to speak as the world speaks. I speak like the Lord Jesus Christ, I only speak what My Father has commanded me to speak. Glory to God!
