DON’T REJECT SOUND DOCTRINE

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables – 2 Timothy 4:3-4

We’re living in the days prophesied by the apostle Paul. Men and women openly reject the sound Doctrine of Christ. Because of their lusts, they heap to themselves false teachers who teach them what their itching ears want to hear. They select ministers based on their own lusts and not truth.

That’s why they’ve turned away from the truth and have embraced fables. They believe in once-saved-always saved. They believe God will judge them based on what the Lord Jesus Christ did and not according to their own works. They believe it’s okay to live in sin because of their faith in the finished work of the cross. That’s deception.

Neither the Lord Jesus Christ nor the apostles taught such heresies. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back soon. And when He does, He’ll raise the dead and judge each man according to his works. Any branch in Him that doesn’t bear good fruit will be thrown into the fire. It’s time to repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.

PRAYER

Father in the Lord Jesus Christ, help me to embrace the Doctrine of Christ. Help me to repent and not listen to false teachers who don’t rebuke my lusts. Amen.
