DISCIPLES NOT CULT MEMBERS

So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch – Acts 11:26

A Christian is a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. A Christian is a Follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and one who lives by the Doctrine of Christ.

Today, instead of being Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we’re followers of Apostles, Prophets and Pastors. Instead of living by the Doctrine of Christ, we live by the false doctrines of men. We’ve become denomination and movement members.

We’ve become groupies and cult members.That’s why we need to go back to what united the Early Church: the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ. They were not groupies or cult members who followed the doctrines of men but Disciples who followed the Doctrine of Christ.

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that you may heal the divisions in the Church and bring about Unity. Bring us back to our Roots of the Doctrine of Christ. Amen.
