DEXAMETHASONE APPROVED BY THE WHO TO TREAT CRITICALLY ILL COVID-19 PATIENTS

BEGINNING

In this Dream I was inside a massive pipe made of translucent perspex. It actually looked like I was inside a giant syringe of some kind.

Suddenly I saw small round white objects begin to bounce across, sideways, up and down the length of the ‘pipe’ as if someone had just thrown them in from behind me. It looked like bouncing white balls. At first I thought they were lottery game show balls or ping pong balls.

But then I realised that they were not balls at all but tablets, as in medication or pills. There were few tablets at first but as I looked, the number increased. The more I looked, the more tablets were introduced and they kept on coming, bouncing up and down in a forward motion as if disappearing in the distance. Then I woke up.

The syringe and the tablets speak of medical technology. A syringe is that which injects. And the bouncing balls speak of speed since they were thrown and not just given. The syringe taking on the shape of a pipe means it’s something that it’s in the pipeline.

The Dream is a Word of Encouragement to all of us. The Dream means a vaccine, treatment or both is or are in the pipeline and will suddenly be injected into the system. When it comes, it will come in suddenly and it will be distributed quickly. At first, distribution will be limited, because I saw a few tablets at first, but then distribution will increase very quickly because I saw more and more tablets being introduced at a rapid pace.

So be encouraged. There’s a vaccine or treatment or both on the way. It won’t be long from now.”

And now a drug called dexamethasone has just been approved by the World Health Organisation to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients. This is seen by medical science experts the world over as a breakthrough.

Dexamethasone is a steroid that’s been in existence since the 1960s. It’s therefore readily available and relatively cheap. It’s available in both tablet form and injection.

In the Dream I saw both a syringe and tablets.

Dexamethasone is manufactured in South Africa by Aspen and costs between R150 and R175 per injection.
