COVID-19 SURGE SENDS FRANCE BACK INTO LOCKDOWN

BEGINNING

I saw the Eiffel Tower standing statuesque against the Parisian skyline. Suddenly, the tower started to lean backwards as if being pushed or pulled by some force.

It became apparent that the tower was nailed to the ground by four large spikes. As it leaned backwards, it was clear that one of the spikes was unhinged and loose. As a result, since the tower stands on four legs, one of the legs was unhinged and tower was standing on the other three.

The tower then started to rock back and forth, being pulled or pushed backwards but then going back to its original position. Each time the tower leaned backwards, it stood on just three legs and the other was almost totally uprooted save for the loose spike that barely kept it in place. It all looked very unstable as if the whole thing would eventually just topple over.

France is currently being rocked by COVID-19 as they’ve just become the epicentre of the virus. France have also just experienced the gruesome beheading of one of their teachers. There are also now reactions from the Muslim world to Emmanuel Macron’s comments about Islam and Muslims.

France is not having it easy. It’s being rocked back and forth by different set backs. Let’s what’s next.
