COME TO TERMS WITH YOUR IDENTITY
Children of God are referred to as Gods by God Himself. To reason otherwise is just false humility.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit – John 3:6
It’s important for us to come to terms with what the Lord Jesus Christ actually taught. He says flesh gives birth to flesh but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. He’s talking about the different species we find in the universe. Fowls give birth to fowls, beasts give birth to beasts, fish give birth to fish, and humans give birth to humans.
However, the Spirit gives birth to Spirits. In other words, God gives birth to Gods. Some prefer a small ‘g’ but I believe anything to do with God should be capitalised. John 10:34 says, ‘Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?’ The Lord was quoting Psalm 82. Let’s look at Verse 6, ‘I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.’ Children of God are referred to as Gods by God Himself. To reason otherwise is just false humility.
The reason many Christians are harassed by the devil routinely is because they don’t know who they are. Identity determines behaviour. John 8:12 says, ‘Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” The Lord Jesus Christ knew Who He was, as a result He walked this planet above sin, Satan, and the world. And He’s given us His Life for us to do what He did. How can we imitate Him and follow His Example if we’re not like Him? That’s the Doctrine of Christ! Glory to God!
PRAYER
Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that I come to terms with my Identity in Christ and walk in it the way the Lord Jesus Christ did. Amen.
