BORN AGAIN THROUGH THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

RESURRECTION SUNDAY

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead – 1 Peter 1:3

We have been born again through the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:12-13 says, ‘But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.’ Through the New Birth, we’ve become the Sons of God, born not of natural decent, human decision or a husband’s will. But born of God.

This is staggering! We’re not only God’s Creatures but His very Offspring as well. When God saved us, He didn’t just forgive us our sins, but He made us New Creatures in Christ as well. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, ‘Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’ In Greek, New Creature means a new Species that never existed before. To be born again means to become a Being you were never before.

What we were before is not what we are now. We started out being born of man, but now we’re born of God. We’ve totally transformed into a new Species. We’ve become the same Class of Being as God. If God had to classify beings, He would group birds together, beasts together, fish together, humans together, demons together, and Angels together. But where does that leave the Christian? God would group us with Himself. Glory to God! From cosmic criminals to Descendants of Deity. What Mercy! What Love! What Grace! Thank You Lord Jesus for Your Resurrection from the dead!

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank You for the New Birth. I thank You that You’re now my Father. Amen.
