BE A PEACE MAKER

Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God – Matthew 5:9

Christianity is a religion of Peace. The Lord Jesus Christ made Peace between God and man with His Cross. His Disciples are therefore called to be Peacemakers like Him. But why then are many Christians full of anger, bitterness and resentment? Why do they yell, scream, argue, complain and fight others?

You can’t be at Peace with others until you’re at Peace within yourself, and you can’t be at Peace within yourself until you’re at Peace with God. Conflict with others begins within ourselves. But its source is our rebellion to God. When we’re at war with God, we’ll be at war within ourselves and with others.

To be a Peacemaker, you must first be at Peace with the Prince of Peace by obeying His Commandments. Repent of your sin. Forgive men their trespasses. Turn the other cheek. Love your enemies. Bless them that curse you. Pray for them that despitefully use you. Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you. Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

PRAYER

Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, help me to be a Peacemaker. Help me to obey the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ and be at Peace with Him, within myself and with others. Amen.
