ADD FACE SHIELDS TO YOUR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Glory to God! I trust you’re well and denying yourself, taking up your cross and following the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yesterday, while in Prayer, I had this Vision:

BEGINNING

I saw a face shield being put on me.

END

A face shield is a transparent plastic visor used mainly by health care professionals or those in emergency services to keep them from contracting certain viruses.

Face shields have been prescribed as part of one’s personal protective equipment to protect one from contracting COVID-19.

Currently, face coverings or masks mandatory in South Africa and many other countries. Effective as they may be, masks protect others and not the wearer since they stop the wearer from infecting others. Face shields, however, protect the wearer from contracting the virus from others. In tests, face shields have been proven to protect the wearer from 96% of droplets released immediately after a cough or sneeze.

Used on their own though, face shields can allow some of the droplets still lingering in the air after a cough or sneeze. The best defence is therefore to use both a face covering and a face shield.

This is particularly helpful in very crowded areas where social distancing is near impossible. Where normal social distancing protocols can be observed, a face covering is more than adequate.

You might be asking yourself, ‘Why should Christians use personal protective equipment when they have the Blood of Jesus, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit?’ We’re in a season of shaking. God is shaking both the Church and the world at the same time. Whenever Israel was in rebellion to God, even their weakest enemies could defeat them.

Ordinarily, COVID-19 should be no match for the Church. But because of our rebellion against God, He has allowed our enemies to have authority over us. That’s why governments can, in this season, tell the Church what to do.

We’ve seen Ministers of the Gospel resist these interventions and end up behind bars.

We’re now also burying Ministers of the Gospel and other Christians in their numbers because of COVID-19. Some of these Ministers are people who walk in the Healing Grace with many Miracles to prove their Ministry.

God is showing the Church that we cannot walk in disobedience to the Lord Jesus Christ and claim His Authority at the same time. He allowed that to happen for a time, but no more.

God is proving to the Church that our Faith has been in our own faith and our own words, not Him. If our Faith was truly in Him, we would obey Him.

Like with ancient Israel, if we walk in disobedience, all these diseases shall come upon us, but if we walk in Obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ, our enemies will come against us one way but flee from us in seven.

God is humbling the Church and calling her to a place of Obedience. When we’ve given up on our warped theologies and false doctrines, we’ll cry out to Him for help and He’ll respond.

As it is, the Church is still acting like the world and as a result, will be treated like the world. Until that time when God feels we’re ready, we need to take precautions.

You might also ask, ‘What about those who’re walking in Obedience, shouldn’t they be protected by God.’

They are, just not in the way they would expect. Don’t forget that after the Lord Jesus Christ was born, Herod wanted Him dead. Instead of God putting a halo or force field or even an Angel around Him to protect Him, God sent an Angel to Joseph in a dream to tell him take the Lord Jesus and hide Him in Egypt until Herod was dead.

There’s a season for everything. In this season, instead of living under Herod trying to defeat his sword, we must go to Egypt for a while until Herod is dead, then we’ll come out.

Until then, let’s sanitise, wash our hands with water and soap, and wear our facial protective gear. This is the Mercy of God, otherwise we’ll be destroyed with the world. Glory to God!
