A GLORIOUS DEATH

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead – Philippians 3:10-11

The Apostle Paul wanted to share in the Sufferings of Christ. He wanted to be made conformable unto His Death, in other words, he wanted to die the Death the Lord Jesus Christ died.

Paul didn’t want to die the death of a mere man. He didn’t want to be taken out by some sickness, a random accident or even old age. All the Apostles were like that. They didn’t want to die of natural causes, they wanted to die a Glorious Death.

That’s what we should all be like. That’s true Christianity. We shouldn’t just yearn for His Resurrection but we should crave His Death also. We shouldn’t just desire to live His Life, but we should ache to die His Glorious Death too. We shouldn’t just want to live for Him, but we should be willing to die for Him as well. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I want to know Christ, and the power of His Resurrection, and fellowship of His Sufferings; being like Him in His Death that I may be like Him in His Resurrection. Glory to God!
