WHAT IS THE CHURCH’S RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS?

I trust you’re well and enjoying your Inheritance in Christ Jesus.

I’m very concerned about the Church’s Response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fact that the World fears this virus doesn’t mean we ought to as well.

The fact that the World believes they should be on lock-down doesn’t mean we should as well. No government has the right to regulate the Body of Christ. The existence of the Church doesn’t arise out of a constitutional edict.

The Church is not the creation of any government. We’re not bound by the laws of the land if they go against what we believe. The Church is not on earth to be told by the World what to do. It should be the other way around.

We’re therefore regulated only by God and Him alone. If He says we shouldn’t meet because of the Coronavirus, then we should listen to Him. But He has said no such thing.

I believe the Church should defy the State on this one and not forsake the assembling together as Hebrews 10:25 counsels us to do.

Psalm 91:10 says, ‘There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.’

God’s Word lets us know that we’re protected by God’s Angels. As a result, no evil shall befall us. No plague shall come nigh our dwelling. His Angels will not let us come into contact with this virus.

Verse 5-6 says, ‘Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.’

Because of God’s Protection, we have nothing to fear. Verse 7 says, ‘A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.’

COVID-19 might be killing thousands and tens of thousands but it will not come near us. That’s the Word of God.

That Revelation by the way is for babes in Christ. The mature Believer doesn’t look for Divine Protection. We know that Christ lives in us. We know that as He is so are we in this World. Because He’s not sick, we can’t be sick either.

We have Christ living in us. That Divine Life, when it comes into contact with any virus, there can only be one outcome, we live and it dies. Glory to God!

Mark 16:18 says, ‘They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.’ There’s Someone who lives inside us. Christ lives in us. As a result, when we come into contact with anything deadly, it shall not harm us. As He is, so are we in this World.

When the Apostle Paul was on the island of Malta and he was bitten by a venomous snake, onlookers expected him to die. Paul just shook off the snake and threw it in the fire. As they observed him over time, he wasn’t presenting any symptoms of a man bitten by a snake. He wasn’t swelling or fainting. Eventually they thought him to be a God – Acts 28:6.

Christ in Paul dealt with the poison in the snake. Christ in you will deal with the destruction in the virus. You are so fashioned by God to withstand any deadly thing. You have Eternal Life in you. We’re not just saying these things to get Facebook likes, we’re saying them because we believe God’s Word.

Psalm 82:5-7 says, ‘They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.’

Because the Sons of God think they’re the sons of men, they walk on in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are out of course. Things are upside down in the World as a result. The problem solvers don’t know who they are, as a result, they’re killed by the very problems they’re meant to solve.

Either we believe what we preach or we don’t. Either the Lord Jesus Christ is our Protector or He’s not. Either all things are possible to those who believe or they’re not.

We can’t just preach this stuff on Sunday and everyone cheers, but when the time comes to test what we believe, we recoil in fear.

I’m joining many other Ministers of the Gospel around the World who aren’t scared of this virus and are refusing to close their Churches.

It’s time to repent and believe the Gospel.
